It is reported that affected by the tropical storms and the typhoon a heavy fog befell China three major ports in the north, the Qin Huangdao port, Cao Feidian port and Jingtang port resulting in closures of varied periods of time starting from August 31st at Qin Huangdao. The largest Qin Huangdao port was closed for the longest time of 14 hours. Coal inventories had consequently gone up.
By September 1st there were 7.39 million tonnes of coal at Qin Huangdao port, 2.13 million tonnes of coal at Cao Feidian port and 3.25 million tonnes of coal at Jingtang port totaling at 12.77 million tonnes all together. www.EnergyChinaForum.com Previously coal inventory at Jingtang port had dropped for the first time in July to 3.18 million tonnes on August 31st. And now it has risen due to the weather conditions.
