HONG KONG --China Shenhua Energy Co. (1088.HK), the country's largest integrated coal producer by output, said Friday its October commercial coal output rose 20% on year to 16.2 million metric tons.
The company, which also operates railways, ports and power plants, said October coal sales rose 9.2% on year to 19 million tons, of which 1 million tons were exported.
Export volume in October was 41% lower than 1.7 million tons in the same month last year.
It didn't explain the increase in coal output and sales.
