You are involved in China shale play or Asia Shale play! Thanks for your participation or attention for ECF Asia Shale Gas Summit 2011 and it was successfully closed in Oct 2011!
However there were so many heated discussions still up in the air, especially the lower entry for private capital and foreign investment, the carbon emissions with methanol included, the disharmonious community form the underground water pollution, the no localized fracturing technologies, the inadequate pipeline network to be constructed in the next 7-8 years.
We think it is necessary to deep the communications between all sides druing the infancy of Asia shale development. The oil & gas companies, investors, policy makers, technology and upstream service providers should get together on a common platform to realize the demands.
ECF International Shale Club are being organized at the right moment. And ECF Expert Group as a think-tank for this club had its first group members already!
We will Inintate in-depth discussions about the shale oil & gas issues confronting China & the rest of Asia, to exploring new ideas, measures and models to tackle the challenges.
We will build build an open communication platform to raise questions or exchange ideas about the latest shale developments in China & in the rest of Asia, to explore future trends and to deepen multiparty relationships.
We will assist China shale commercialization in an environmentally sensitive manner by sharing global experiences and capabilities, while simultaneously sharing Chinese experiences to inform decision making in the shale area in the rest of Asia.
We will conduct discussions & consultations on topical or pressing shale issues and grow into a think-tank with broad influence in the shale field in China & rest of Asia.
All club activities will be applied to the 'Chatham House Rules'. Under those rules, everyone is encouraged to speak freely, on a personal basis, but no opinions will be attributed outside the meeting to any individual or organization. The Club will take pragmatic steps to provide the relevant institutions and authorities with timely, mature and innovative ideas or recommendations emerging from the meetings.
Now the membership is open now! ECF Expert Group, its first members had written their words for our club! We want to contribute more to accecelerate the procedures of China or Asia shale gas commercialization!
